Charles Brawn was born in Saskatchewan, but has lived in Brandon since 1949. Long an avid reader, he began to write about his home province following retirement. Most days he spends between four and six hours researching and writing about topics of interest, including visits to area cemeteries.

Dale Brawn, Charles’ son has written for the Brandon Sun, the Winnipeg Tribune, and the Winnipeg Free Press and practiced law in Neepawa, Minnedosa, and Shoal Lake before moving to Sudbury, Ontario to teach at the Department of Law and Justice at Laurentian University.
