The purpose of one of Canada’s oldest literary awards is to encourage the study and interpretation of the history of Manitoba. In its celebration of one of Winnipeg’s most colourful and distinctive areas, Russ Gourluck’s The Mosaic Village, An Illustrated History of Winnipeg’s North End certainly accomplished this.
