First, congratulations to Great Plains Teen Fiction authors, Kevin Marc Fournier and Jocelyn Shipley for winning 2012 Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards.

Kevin Marc Fournier won the Gold Medal Moonbeam Award for his YA novel, The Green-Eyed Queen of Suicide City—general fiction

Jocelyn Shipley won the Gold Medal Moonbeam Award for her YA novel, How to Tend a Grave—mature issues.

Congratulations also to Enfield & Wizenty author Lisa Pasold, author of Rats of Las Vegas. Her book Any Bright Horse(Frontenac House) has been shortlisted for the Governor General’s Award for Poetry.
